our little fighter is gone..

last november 6th, our little fantasia whelped four babies. two pairs of girls and boys. one of the baby boys had a condition. i don't know what it's called but he doesn't have an upper palate. yung roof ng mouth. yung nasa ibabaw ng tongue.
anyways, the vet said na he is expecting the puppy to stay for just about 2, maximum 3 three days. so, we took him home and he was literally gasping for air. since wala nga sha nung upper palate, walang nagboblock ng milk from his mom and ang nangyayare lumalabas lang yung milk sa ilong nya. we were able to find a way na painumin sha ng milk without it coming out of his nose. although kailangan mong bantayan all the time. nakakapagod, pero it's worth it lalo na kapag nakikita mo na lumalaban sha. he was always kicking and crying and we thought he'd live. peejay and his mom even gave him a name. they named him barack obama. they were born the same day obama was elected president.
the doctor said it was because of bad genes. pero, first time lang namen nagkaron ng ganung problem. nakakaawa sha.
what we do is, after namen pakalmahin si fantasia, we put the healthier puppies one by one, and if all of them were already sucking, we'd get barack and hold him close to tasia's dodo and gently sqeeze the milk out. although barack won't be able to drink it that fast, at least it won't come out of his nose. last night, as peejay and i was preparing fantasia to start breastfeeding her puppies, i checked on barack and found that he was trying hard to breathe. i didn't think anything was wrong because that was how he has been breathing for the entire time he was with us.
so, when the time came na sha na yung papainumin namin ng milk, peejay scooted over to his basket and when he stared at him he saw he wasn't breathing. so, he took barack and massaged his chest and his back but he just won't wake up.
we laid him in soft tissue and we put him in a makeshift coffin.
so, now, we only have three little angels to take care of.

haPEE 47nd month!!

haPEE 42nd monthsary be!! i wanted to greet you again before the day is over, so...
remember, this was us before..

we were so thin, then. grabe. ang lola mo, negrita tapos kita collarbone. ikaw naman, relaxed ang hair tapos ang payat mo din nun. i could never wear this same racerback, not even the same clothes, like i did before. kaya nga tinago ko na silang lahat at the back of my cabinet e. hehe..

and then, 47 months, a few dozen baby puppies, two wonderful friends in missy and sassie, a million times we went out to eat, a few million calories, a ton other activities we did together, some drinking and videoke sessions we had at your house, some more calories added, and a couple million tons of fat later, we're still with each other. i know i'm sometimes a handful and i'm thankful you've never given up. thanks for loving me as i am, and i sure do love you as you are!

baby gurl..

close to nine months now, this nice little stork dropped by peejay's kuya's house and gave them another best thing that could happen in a couple's life time. this time this nice little stork gave them a baby girl. we were able to see the baby's face through this 4D scan. it's like getting an ultrasound, but it's different because the soon-to-be parents are able to see the exact features of the baby inside the womb.
we watched the video and i felt so happy for them, na after their baby boy giro, may baby girl naman sila ngayon. and giro is feeling so much like a kuya na. it's cute!

these are the pictures of the 4D scan..

baby girl..

isn't she cute? she looks like her kuya giro..

large gypsy earrings

i love earrings. ayoko yung simple na stud earrings lang, well, except kung extra ordinary yung pagka stud earring nya. i love dangling earrings. what i love most are large, bold, beaded earrings. yung parang pang gypsy. siguro i got it from my nanay lola. she loves clip earrings with bold designs and really huge fancy earrings. back when i was in high school, i'd wear her clip earrings to any event in my school. when i was small, i remember going through her jewelries when she comes home from canada to visit us. she wouldn't give anything to me because she said i was still a child and the jewelries i should wear should be pang bata lang. although she wouldn't give them to me, she would let me borrow them and try them on. when i reached high school, she began giving me fancy earrings. she said i'm a grown up na.
one downside about me wearing fancy earrings is, i'm allergic to them. it doesn't have to be just earrings. i'm allergic to plated bracelets, necklaces, and rings. i'd get rashes on my ears, arms, neck and fingers. basta, anywhere kung saan meron plated na jewelry. i got it from my mom. she's also allergic to them. pati yung sister ko allergic din sa kanila. good thing for my mom, she doesn't wear really chunky earrings or bracelets. before my mom left for canada, she'd wear just a pair of medium-sized pearl earrings to work. other than her wedding ring, her arms and neck are naked. the only time she'd change her earrings and put on a bracelet is when she attends a special occasion and she has to get dressed for it.
well, as for my sister, it would be a miracle if she wears a pair. but, when we were smaller, we used to have matching sets of earrings. and all of our jewelries were given to us by our ninangs. and nothing in it was fancy.
siguro, when i started growing up, i saw the jewelries my nanay lola wears and i became fascinated with them. since i have allergies, what i'd do now is i wear them and take them off as soon as i come home. it seemed to be working for me kase i've been wearing a few beaded jewelries, and sure as hell they're not burning a hole in my pocket. the only thing i couldn't really wear are necklaces.
i saw these pictures online because i was looking for extra ordinary jewelries na maganda na pwede sa everyday clothes. and when i saw them, i remembered na these were the earrings i've been looking for for the longest time. i have a lot of earrings at home, but these are what i wanted so much, eversince i saw the hunchback of notre dame.
next time, when i go to st. francis, i'd check out the jewelries and the beads there.

shit happens..unexpectedly

ngayon lang ako siguro nagkaron ng proof na sobrang shitty ng laws naten especially traffic rules. needless to say, we got screwed. peejay and i had fun with each other's company kanina sa megamall..we ate at sbarro's and we were filled. pauwi na kame and we were so close na dun sa bahay namen and that had to happen. somewhere along domingo santiago, malapit sa altura, paliko na kame ni peejay, when this crosswind na kasalubong namen nagpumilit na sumabay sa pagliko samen. e yung kalsada sobrang makitid and prang mejo blind turn sha, and sobrang two cars lang yung kasya. tapos add a bunch of crazy ticycle drivers on the side na nakikipagsabayan pang lumiko samen. ayun, so of course, hindi kasya yung crosswind at ang innova. e yung crosswind sobrang pinagpipilitang isiksik yung sarili dun so curve, so peejay had to step on the brakes. e hindi parin kasya si crosswind, so peejay had no choice kundi umatras. as soon as peejay went on reverse, as in kadyot lang yung inatras namen, we hit a cab. eto naman si cab di namen alam andun na pala sa likod namen. ni hindi man lang sumignal, or bumusina to let us know he's there. hindi namen nakita pareho ni peejay kase the cab's headlights were so dim. yung mga tipong three days na lang di na sumisindi. the only time we knew there was a car behind us was when we heard a crash. eto pang sobrang kups na driver ng cab kung makapagreklamo e kala mo napakamahal ng sasakyan. hello?! mas mahal pa buhay ng mga alaga ko kesa sa sasakyan nya.
so, after a brief argument, peejay and the driver decided to go to the nearest police station. which is station 4. e yung cab had passengers, so hinatid muna nung cab yung pasahero nya somewhere sa loob ng balicbalic. the cab was leading the way tapos lumabas sya sa g tuazon. instead of turning around to go back to station 4, he went straight going to galas. apparently, he knew someone from the police station in galas. hello, if you're smart enough to know that the incident never happened in the vicinity near galas, you'd know that the nearest station is station 4. so, what peejay did was he moved in front of the cab then humarang sha sa dinadaanan ng cab. si cab driver naman, what he did next was he weaseled his way into this super liit na eskinita and we never saw him again.
galing, no?
so, peejay and i went home muna, then he called his dad and he told us to go file a report on station 4 anyways. we did and the policemen there agreed with us that it was the cab's fault. kase he knew that manipis yung kalsada and i would guess that he's not blind para hindi makita yung crosswind na sumalubong samen. but, unfortunately, sabi samen ng police di daw sila talaga na nagiissue ng police report. blotter lang daw sa kanila. they told us to go to traffic sa port area near intramuros.
so, peejay went home and he and his mom went to traffic. pero, yung mga walang silbing tao dun said it was peejay's fault kase sha daw yung umatras. and nasa law daw un. yeah, right.so, walang napuntahan yung nangyare. nakakainis!

we had this at sbarro's.. nakalimutan ko yung name pero i think it had everything on it. yummy!!

of course, whole zitti with meat sauce

at shempre, a slice of white pizza..
