i'm seeing everyone using this. from my brothers, to my officemates. i'm still thinking about joining. i just wanted to play the games. but i'm a bit hesitant, especially after what happened to what used to be my friendster account. i haven't opened it in years, when suddenly this stranger started sending malicious mails to peepee about me. what the?!
so, it was traumatizing for me, and until now, i haven't opened it and i refuse to.
but, manet, veron, and my brothers have been asking me to join. they said it's more secure compared with friendster. i don't know. i'm still thinking about it..
she gave birth to three baby pugs. sadly, the third was stillborn. they just had their dew claws removed yesterday, so they look like little boxers now. hihi..cute..
he is tita espie's husband. tita espie is my sister's godmother. last night, uncle edmund died. i'm not yet sure how he died. my mom asked us to go to his wake. i was told he's in heritage (park, i think. my dad only said heritage). he said it's near market! market! so sad. i think he used to be the vice president of Philippine Airlines. what i know is, i think he is in his 40s-50s. i only saw him once. i can't remember how he looked like. i was a mere child when we went to their house in alabang. i just know it was new year's celebration. but still, i feel sorry for the immediate family. my condolences to them...hope he rests in peace.

last saturday we attended yanna's first birthday celebration held at jollibee in roosevelt (near greenhills). attendees were: me, peepee, katkat, karl, kenneth, andrew, rizza, and ryan, together with the birthday girl, her mom, and the other guests. the party started around 4:30 pm and of course, jollibee was there to celebrate with us. then, after the party, we went straight to lea's house to drink the bar. yummy, but i only drank a shot of it. oh, and bernard joined us after the party and he was there with us when we went to lea's house.
i chanced upon this show, convergence, aired on net 25. i saw a portion where the host talked about social networking websites and online diaries. i didn't think there's such a thing as online diary. so i continued watching and i went to one of the websites they gave (deardiary.net), but i wasn't quite sure of it, so i searched for online diary sites. i found one: www.myDiary.net. it's fun for those dear diary moments. you could choose from setting your diary entry to public (for everyone to read), private (for your eyes only), and readerslist (for people you've allowed to read your entries). you could also set each of your entries (whether it's for general patronage or for adults only).
a lot has happened since wtf..haha..first off, kris is american idol season 8 winner. second, cel isn't with us anymore *tears*..so sad. fourth, i'm so dark skinned from all of the swimming under the sun (ulikba sa call center. now showing in theaters.hehe..). fifth, my brother will be arriving today from malaysia (finally, after overstaying for two weeks because of the travel ban). sixth, shaina gave birth to three adorable baby pugs (sadly one was still born). seventh, (this would be the last) i just got news that my mom would be coming home this june 4th and will be here until june 25th.
so, like, i hate these people who, like, talk this way. like, what's wrong with you? i spoke with someone today, who, like, spoke this way and i was, like, annoyed. like, why can't you get, like, straight to the point? can you not, like, speak normally? it's so, like, irritating.
we were supposed to go swimming in amana water parks in bulacan for his birthday, but then the night before, peepee's mom read some comments about the place that didn't seem nice. so we chose to go somewhere else. friday morning, we were still looking for some resorts online. then i found this place called galilee garden resort. peepee and i were looking at the pictures on their website (http://galileemansion.com/) and we thought the place looked great! other than that, it was closer compared to amana waterpark and the place was way cheaper.
we planned to leave on saturday. same date as peepee's birthday. but we had to cancel because of an emergency. lola nanay (peepee's grandmom) fell down the stairs and she had to be rushed to the emergency room. she suffered from wounds on her head that had to be stitched shut. the larger wound had seven stitches. the smaller one had three. she was confined at UST for three days. so, we had to move the date to sunday, may 17th.
we left home around 6:30 am and we got to ate malou's house to pick up giro, his dad, ate malou and baby alumi. we left their place before 7 am, but we had to stop at tabang exit, not for dairy queen (i wish!), but to have our tires pumped. we had it adjusted to 31 psi instead of the usual 30 psi.
we got to the resort, and peepee and i got disappointed because it didn't look close to what we saw on their website. we chose to stay in the resort instead of leaving and looking for someplace else on the spot. of course, giro was soooo excited to jump in the pool. we had to ask him several times to wait for someone to go with him. his dad jumped in with him and from there, giro stayed in the water until around lunch time. we slathered sunblock on him again, and again he jumped in on the pool, this time without waiting for any of us. he then refused to eat merienda. he said, "kumain na tayo kanina. kakain ulit tayo?"
to make it short, the resort wasn't what we expected. it truly looked beautiful if you're only gonna look at the website. although peepee and i got disappointed at first, we initially came to like the place because:
1. there were not a lot of people in the resort so we were able to swim around without any mishaps.
2. the place was extraordinarily cheap.
3. the people were courteous.
4. the staff made sure that there were trash bins everywhere and they made sure to sweep the grounds very often.
5. there were lifeguards on both ends of all pools.
6. each pool (except the adult pool) has only one depth. the one that has the boat was only 2.5 feet so all children were free to go around the pool without parents fearing for their child's safety.
7. it's only about an hour drive from manila (not considering the traffic. hehe..)
i forgot to say this. we asked giro what name he wanted to give the bird. he immediately said cheenie (i just figured out how it was spelled based on what he said). that was on the same day that we found her in the bathroom. the next day (yesterday), i went to her makeshift cage and i was so surprised to see her, dead. she must've died a few hours ago since the ants were already feeding on her and most of her limbs and muscles are gone. oh well. at least we tried to keep her.
i was looking online for codes that would help me put link tabs on top of my page. i wanted to make the links to my photobucket and my playlists look like tabs on top. i wanted them to open in a new window. i have the code to open the links in a new window (thanks ana for posting the code!), but i don't have the code to make my links look like tabs on top of the post. anyhoe, i was browsing and i chanced upon this website...http://www.allblogtools.com. i checked it out and i was able to get a code for glitter text. so, i just added glitter text on top. hehe..i'm still browsing through the site and i'm trying to look for other stuff to add..
my mom sent me a text message earlier today. she said "danny was voted out. kris and adam are in." huuhuu..so sad..at least adam is still there. it would've been better if danny stayed, though. oh, well.
i don't know where i got it. i don't know how it started. i'm an OC when it comes to eating corn on the cob. i eat it kernel by kernel. doesn't matter how long it takes me. i want the cob to look as clean as it could get after i eat the kernels. yeah. i eat it row by row, column by column. i eat corn on the cob with my fingers. why?! i just don't want the corn cob to look mangled, with the kernel's skin still attached to it. i don't want to see my corn cob messy.
okay, so lookie here..the one on top is how my corn started. the one in the middle is how peepee's corn on the cob looked like after he ate it. mine is the one on the very bottom. see how clean the corn cob looked? that is how all my corn cob looks like after i'm done eating. and i want it to stay that way. tsk tsk tsk...OC OC.. one more weird thing (and i'm as OC on this as the corn on the cob thing) is, whenever i open anything (yup, anything from canned goods, to junk foods, to instant noodle packs, juices in foil packs, condiments in tetra packs, down to how i peel onions, fruits, and almost anything that needs to be opened, or peeled), i always open it in its upright position, or when the label is readable. like, remember how zesto foil packs are opened by some people? they turn the pack upside down and stick the straw in the bottom of the pack, right?! it works for most people, but for me, it's not gonna do. i won't feel comfortable about it and i would end up not drinking it. for junk foods, i would get a bit hesitant if i see the wrapper opened from the bottom with the label upside down. i'd end up not eating it. when i peel, say an onion, i would alway chop the top off first before i chop the rooty part off. i think something's not right if i cannot read the label or if the label is upside down or something. huh? weird..
this little birdie here got to our house by accident. when peepee and i got home, i went straight to the bathroom to pee. as soon as i opened the door, there was this little brown thing sitting on the bathroom floor. at first i thought it was a frog (i swear it looked like one!). i nearly screamed (good thing i didn't) my senses out but when i looked closely, i realized that it wasn't a frog. it was a tiny little brown bird (maya) and it hopped around a bit when it saw me. peepee's mom said it had been there for a while now. she said it may have perched on the bathroom window and because it was just a baby bird it must've fallen inside the bathroom. since the window was a bit high (and i think it would be too much of a travel for a tiny bird), the birdie couldn't get out. so, we asked peepee to get the bird (his mom was scared of it that's why she left it at the bathroom, chirping). he scooped it up into an ice cream container. i then looked around and saw this green picnic basket (we used to put the puppies here when we take them to the doctor for their vaccines). we placed the tiny bird inside the basket and i gave her food and water (i gave her rice. we don't have bird food around the house). we're still thinking of a name for it. hmmm..how about maya?!? (wow, so original! hehe..)
yup. peepee and i just bought one this afternoon. we didn't think we'd ever own one. ever. to think owning one means you're sickly rich. it just happened. sort of like splurging on something. more like compulsive buying. we just thought about it for a minute then bought it instantly. we picked the FXX and i think we made the right choice. we're planning to get some more by next month..only at Php120. from Shell..hehe...*dream on!*
this sucks but i can understand why they are doing this. my brother can't go home because of this ban. he is still in malaysia and he has overstayed for a week because of this ban. his flight back to manila was supposed to be on may 9th, but they had to stay in malaysia because of the ah1n1 outbreak all over the globe. it sucks to be there..
today is my mom and dad's 30th wedding anniversary. i'm buying food later today...

anyhoo, no doubt performed tonight. i am such a fan! i remember getting so pissed off their first album that i bought, Tragic Kingdom, got lost. someone borrowed it and never returned it. i really like gwen stefani. i like how she dresses, how she carries herself, how she sings, and the fact she's gavin rossdale's wife (haay! such a blessed woman!).
tonight, just a girl was performed and they announced that they're gonna tour. too bad manila isn't part of it. oh well...
i like how my blog looks. but there's this tiny detail i still want to change..i can't print screen it coz print screen isn't working on my keyboard..hehe..but, if you look at the right corner (right beside about me) you'd see that the background image doesn't seem right. the background image is too short. i tried to adjust it in the html but it won't work. i even asked peepee to try to change it but it ain't working..oh well, i'd just have to check back later.
see?! it looks as if the background image on my sidebar is bitin. i tried going into the html of the sidebar but i couldn't seem to figure out what values i needed to change. there's something that said no-repeat, but when i changed it to repeat, it just repeated the whole image. plus, it screwed my sidebar up. so, i'm back working on the html. i've been thinking of editing the background image's url, but it's gonna take a while...
i changed my template to this green-themed one. big change since my previous template was black. i had to edit alot of things on the html, but i am finally satisfied with what i see...wonder what my next template would be...hmmm..
earlier this morning, i went to work and logged in. i was only able to take 1 call. then around 7 this morning, they started to send some of my co workers home. seemed that we were overstaffed today, so i asked if i could go home too. coach berns said yes, so here i am blogging about it. hehe.. peepee is also on MTO for today. woohoo!! we went out to buy a couple of boxes for my gowns and we asked a few stores for the price of the Nikon D90.. hmmm..what else?! oh, and we also checked out some resorts in bulacan (we only checked online), and we found a place called Amana Waterpark..the place looks great and it's cheap ha. infairness to the place. can't wait to go there!
may fourth ended sadly for both me and peepee..it's bad enough that we did not get to spend the day together. what made it worse was that our little shanaya died peacefully (hopefully) in her sleep last night. we did not know how it happened. mamita just found her on her side. she initially thought shanaya was just sleeping. she even said, "buti nakatulog na si buntis." haaayyyy... she's not really pregnant. up to now were still baffled with her case. her stomach just swelled to double her size. we had her x-rayed. she had also gone through complete blood tests and even an ultrasound, twice. the veterinarians didn't find anything that caused her tummy to swell. no clots or tumours of some sort were found. the only thing they found was liquid. they said her tummy got filled with too much liquid. she was given prescription medicine to help her excrete the liquid. we asked the doctors if there was a way to drain the liquid from her tummy. they said they could operate on her and drain the liquid but if they do it, there is a big chance that her internal organs would get disarrayed. they said the organs are already floating around because of the liquid. irony is, peepee and i were inside the house when the clock began to belt out a rhthym. the rhythm is, "Happy Birthday to You." great.

it's may fourth. sad to say we didn't do anything today. he was not here the whole day. he had to go to mandaluyong to have miguelito undercoated. peepee left at around 9 this morning. he came back to eat lunch and left after resting for a short while. until now he hasn't returned and he called to tell me it's gonna be a couple more hours before the undercoating procedure is finished..
this was a recipe my mom got off a campbell mushroom soup can. that was a long time ago. i recommend this recipe to anyone who loves bell peppers. it's much better if the different colored bell peppers were used for this recipe, but if only green or red bell peppers are available, then that's fine. this recipe is also a bit pricey, but the taste is worth it.
also, when i cook, i don't measure quantities of anything. i'ts always a tad of this, a pinch of that, and a splash here and there.
ingredients.. about a kilo of beef, cut into bite-sized cubes, trim the excess fat off 5-6 pieces of the largest bell pepper you could find in the market, julienned* 2 cans of campbell's cream of mushroom soup oil for stir frying salt and pepper to taste soy sauce
procedure.. 1. stir fry the beef in oil. let the meat's juices come out. bring the heat down to the lowest and let the meat simmer in its own juice until it's tender. keep adding about a glass of water to the beef until it becomes tender. you don't want to dry the beef out. 2. once the beef is tender, set it aside. on the same pan, put a tad of oil then stir fry the julienned bell peppers. don't let the peppers become too soggy. stir fry the peppers for about a minute to a minute and a half, depending on the quantity of the peppers. 3. pour entire contents of the cream of mushroom soup cans in the pot until they are well blended with the peppers. add soy sauce, salt, and pepper. don't add too much soy sauce. it will make the sauce too dark. if you want to adjust the taste, add more salt instead. 4. mix the beef into the bell pepper mixture and add more salt if needed. 5. serve and enjoy!

i'm not sure if it's the code or it's the pc. i can't see the slideshow that i just created. the one for the pacquiao-hatton fight. i was seeing it earlier when i published it. i'm not seeing it now. i tried to copy the code again, but i don't see anything still. i tried going back to my older posts. all slideshows are working just fine. it's just this slideshow that is not coming up. the only thing i see is a blank white box at the bottom of my entry. later, when my mom goes online, i'll ask her to look at my blog and tell me if she sees the slideshow.

it's my first time to see pacquiao's fight on pay per view. last december 7, peepee was able to see it also in danny's grill. i didn't go with them because it was gerald and bheng's wedding and i was one of the bridesmaids. i had to prepare for the wedding at that time.
this morning, peepee and i saw pacquiao's fight at danny's grill. we got a reservation courtesy of kuya alvin and his friend jay. other than kuya alvin, we were with their dad, ryan, earl and macoy. we left the house at around 9:30. kuya alvin went ahead of us and we met earl and macoy at the bar. ryan was a latecomer, but good thing he got there in the middle of the last undercard bout. reservations per person costs Php450. it includes 3 beer bottles and a plate of peanuts. while the people were waiting for the main event, some people kept busy chatting with each other. some were busy taking pictures. at times, some people would react if someone got hit (most of the reactions came from men, especially during the last undercard fight, when soto was hit below the belt). after the last undercard fight, when it showed on the projection screen that pacquiao's fight was coming up, almost everyone suddenly became alive. those who used to be busy suddenly payed attention to what the commentator said. i could hear nothing but screams everytime pacquiao's face was flashed on the screen. when hatton's face was shown, everyone was booing him.
then came martin nievera's rendition of the national anthem. personally, i don't know anything about music, but based on what i heard, and based on all the pacquiao fights that i've seen, i think martin's version was the best so far. and i loved the fact that he chose to wear francis m's brand, three stars and a sun. you just couldn't see it well because martin was wearing a blazer.
then came tom jones. i felt a bit awkward when i heard him sing God Save the Queen. the last song i remembered hearing him sing was Sexbomb. and now here he is singing the british national anthem. it was a bit unexpected, but he did a fine job.
when both boxers were introduced, all the people inside the bar were so hyped up. then the first round started. i heard people saying "yakap ng yakap si hatton", which was true. and every punch that hits hatton's face was met with "oohhs" from everyone watching. when hatton dropped the first time on round one, everyone was at their feet, clapping, shouting, cheering for pacquiao. i did the same thing. everyone settled down and when hatton was knocked down on his knees the second time, everyone inside the bar was really cheering. everyone was screaming their lungs out and clapping their hands off. i even heard someone hitting the table with something hard. i guess it was easier for that person rather than clap. hehe..
when the second round started, almost everyone was at the edge of their seats, waiting for something bigger to happen. then it came. hatton got knocked down cold. he was lying on the ring, and when his face was focused, i saw his eyes rolling around. as soon as hatton got knocked down, everyone got on their feet and i saw people pumping their fists in the air. everyone was so ecstatic! i felt sorry for hatton. but at the same time, i was glad we won. my throat was hoarse from screaming. my hands hurt from clapping. but it was well worth it.
i'm currently chatting with my mom and my younger brother. my mom asked me if i have spoken with my older brother about a digicam that they plan to buy for me. i said i was told nothing about it. my mom asked me to look at an online best buy flyer. i did and i saw the camera she wanted to buy for me...
