mey lin's pot and noodle house

this afternoon, peejay, me, and his mom and dad hit the mall to buy: printer ink cartridges, gifts for kc's birthday party on friday, some groceries, vitamins for our doggies, and a rubber pad for baby aloumi. we also went looking for a sofa that would fit inside the house. peejay and i saw a set but his mom was a bit hesitant about it still since she thinks it's too wide. then, peejay and i went looking for a cabinet for his clothes, but we didn't find any.

this is my printer (sorry it's a bit dusty). peejay and i bought the same model. it's a Brother MFC-240 all-in-one printer. it scans, prints, faxes, and copies. it also has a slot for xd card (for olympus cameras), and sd card slot, and a usb port to hook a camera up (they call it pictbridge). we bought it last year when brother had a promo. all we had to do was bring any old printer (as in any brand, working or not) to a participating Brother dealer and we got to purchase any brother printer at half the price. so, peejay had two old laser printers (epson), and i brought my own printer (epson c45) which is in usable condition. we just weren't able to replace the onk cartridges for a long time, so i guess it dried out. we swapped the two printers and peejay was able to fix my printer. now he is using my printer as his secondary printer.

afterwards, we bought kc's gift. peejay and i bought a baby bop feeding bottle for her (anyone who knows barney should know who baby bop is). peejay's mom and dad bought her a nice set of clothes. then we went grocery shopping, and after we're done, we ate at mey lin's pot and noodle house. they boast of hand-pulled noodles and "authentic" chinese cuisine.

we ordered yang chow rice, ampalaya with beef and tausi, lumpiang shanghai (peejay absolutely loves lumpiang shanghai) and their version of our pancit canton. we had tea while we were waiting for the food to arrive. i wasn't able to take a picture of the rest of the food kase peejay was so hungry. his tummy was aching na daw sa sobrang gutom nya. aawww..wawa naman bebe..
anyways, for a chinese restaurant that looks semi-stiff (with the interior decors mostly made of wood), their price is cheap. for everything we ordered, it only costs just 760 for our meal. cheapskate!!
god, i'm so tired. i'm sleepy na. i have to wake up early to do my now-weekly routine (foot spa and hot oil). then in the afternoon, peejay and i will go to tita betchay's house in antipolo (no, wait, i think it's in marikina lang...sorry, i'm not sure e..)

nikon d60

my brother asked my mom to buy him a digital camera. it arrived here last week, or two weeks ago. she bought for him a sony cybershot dsc-w120. i have my own camera. it's an olympus sp-310. it's busted, and it's out of warranty. i had it fixed before because some sand got into the lenses. my sister borrowed it and she's had it for a while. when she moved to another house, she returned the camera to me but she said, it won't take pictures. i know it's the lens that's broken again because when i try to view the pictures i took before i lent it to her, i can still see it. when i try to take pictures, the screen is just blank. now, i'm thinking about not having it fixed, kase it would be too expensive for me. the cleaning that was done before cost us around 4,000-4,500. kaso, sayang naman kung iiwan ko lang yung camera dito sa bahay. we have another camera, another olympus. i forgot the model number and my dad brought it with him to aklan.

this was my camera. i wanted this because i planned on adding a couple of lenses na lang sana, but it's broken...huhu..

so, since my camera is broken, i have just the perfect excuse to splurge and buy myself my very own digital slr camera...wow! i've been wanting one for so long. i went online to search for neat cameras that i liked. and, i was able to decide which to get...

this is the nikon d60 digital-slr camera. i want this camera and i'm starting to save as much moolah as i can so i could buy this. goodluck sa'ken!! hehe...

haPEE Valentines!!

after the party, peejay had to take me home right away because wiz had to go somewhere else. no one would be home to take care of chubi. then, peepee and ryan went to dangwa to drink more booze then picked up some flowers for ryan's auntie (sabi nya).

this is the first time someone ever gave me flowers!!! and guess what, it came from my peepee!!! sobra kinilig ako!!! i really felt i was such a loser then, but...
i feel like i'm a winner now! thanks a bunch peepee!! *kiss**kiss*

happy horse

for valentines day, peejay and i went to kylie's fifth birthday. after the party, we went to lea's house to drink booze. we were only six: lea, me, peepee, andrew, ryan, and glen. glen had to leave at 9:30 because he said he had to go to work at 10. so, ryan and glen bought roasted chicken for our pulutan. when they've decided which booze to drink, peepee and the others bought four red horse grandes.
then, andrew showed us something...

this is called a HAPPY HORSE. they said it is stronger than your regular red horse beer..

to the left is your regular red horse beer. to your right is the happy horse..Astig!

so, next time you drink red horse, check the label. haha. parang commercial.

a french action/comedy movie peepee and i saw over the weekend. i initially thought it was the movie Goal! since the opening credits showed a soccer ball being kicked around. i told peepee that if it is indeed Goal!, might as well watch it since my sister told me it is a great movie. so we got to finish the entire movie, just in time before we had to feed our doggies. it was dubbed in english so we did not miss out on the funny dialogues of almost everyone in the movie.

the plot:
A Belgian criminal wanted all over Europe for his crimes is in custody of the police department of Marseilles to be watched for a few hours before transfer to a prison in Congo. Unfortunately, Emilien, was tricked by the villain and convinced to let the prisoner go. After these events, he's fired, but luckily for him his friend Daniel helps him one more time, telling him the location where the criminal is located, having been the taxi driver who drove him after he left the police station, not knowing he was a criminal. After this, Emilien gets his old job back by telling the commissioner where to retrieve the criminal. He's then captured and then taken to jail.

tapatouille

pronounced as tapa 'to eh, it is my favorite stall in ortigas center's banchetto day. it's not your regular thin-sliced, dry beef strips fried in oil. it's more like a salpicao. you have your three choices: korean tapa, regular tapa, and the all famous spicy tapa. the add ons are great. the beef melts in your mouth. me and peepee's favorite is their spicy tapa combo. it has potato chips, bacon, egg, their spicy tapa, and a generous serving of fried garlic rice. mmm..sarap!

rush hour 3

last week, peejay and i saw rush hour 3 on cable. i wasn't a fan of the rush hour series so i didn't know anything about it until we saw the movie. sure, i like jackie chan and i've seen some of his movies (forbidden kingdom has yet to be seen). i was not also a big fan of chris tucker, so i guess that was my main reason why i did not bother seeing the movie and its sequels. until peejay and i saw it last week..

my favorite line is: "i'm going to beat the puberty out of you.."
